Welcome to Why Struggle Music

Why Struggle is the solution to your problem.

Why Struggle Music aims to provide access to resources, tools, advice and support for artists, producers and anyone who wants to learn the business side of the music industry they are in. At Why Struggle Music, you will find everything you may need to get started on, or further, your music journey. Whether you are just getting started and releasing your first song, looking into how to make your music chart eligible, or anything in between, Why Struggle Music has definitely got you covered.

Release your music the right way

Want a step-by-step guide on how to release your music properly, so that it can be found by millions of listeners around the world? Why Struggle Records offers one-to-one support for artists and bands, to make sure you have covered everything necessary to have an impact from day one.

The label can help with setting up and managing your social media accounts, and can show you some of the best kinds of online content to post to grow your reach and fan base over time. The label makes sure you are not just another one-hit wonder, but an artist or band set up for long-term success, so you can keep doing the thing you love.

Fresh inspiration

Want some fresh inspiration to start or finish that song idea you can't stop thinking about, but can't make fit your vision? Well, look no further. Why Struggle Music offers resources such as loops and sounds: that lush guitar you have been looking for to suit your dreamy production, or that rage-filled death metal anthem bursting out of your creative soul.

We will also be offering DAW presets for some of the most popular industry-standard plugins and libraries, so you can dial in the tone that immediately takes your productions and mixes from good to great, and from great to outstanding. The kind of sound your fans put on repeat because it is like nothing they have heard before.

Music tools for blind and visually impaired musicians

Do you have a disability such as a visual impairment, or are you totally blind? We know the feeling when the music tools you want to use do not meet the standards you need to use them to their full potential: that software you bought for $200, but your screen reader cannot interact with its graphical user interface. At Why Struggle Music, we feel this frustration, which is why we are making dedicated adaptations so that blind and visually impaired people can have the same creative freedom as sighted musicians.

We are investing in tools such as screen reader friendly DAW and plugin presets, and adaptations for software instruments. That includes NKS presets that let an otherwise inaccessible software library work with Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol software and hardware, which has been designed to work well for blind and visually impaired (BVI) musicians and sound designers.

About Bradley, the founder of Why Struggle Music

I was born completely blind.

I have had a great passion for music and business for most of my life. I began my music journey doing karaoke in my grandad's old tool shed, which gave me the spark to take music seriously.

I have over five years of music business knowledge, because I had to learn the long way when releasing my first song. I would definitely say that the music business is my favourite corner of the music industry, but I have a strong passion for, and understanding of, music as a whole.

I also understand how hard it is for artists, producers and bands to stand out in such a crowded market, which is why I came up with the idea for Why Struggle Music.

So, the question I would like to ask is: why struggle?
