At Why Struggle Music, we want to offer services that create a genuine impact for a long time to come.

Free articles and online resources

At Why Struggle Music, we want everyone to be able to get some support and advice, even on a £0 budget, or if you cannot spend a lot of money on quick and simple advice.

The Why Struggle Music business hub offers a library of articles on a range of music business topics, such as account management, social media, distribution, publishing, royalties and marketing. The hub aims to get you started on your artist or band journey, with actionable steps you can put into practice right now.

One-to-one artist and band support through Why Struggle Records

So you've learned how to release your music, or you're just scratching the surface of the business, and you're starting to see the mounting paperwork you have to complete before each release. That includes registering your songs with a royalty collection agency, such as PRS for Music in the UK or your own country's performance rights organisation (PRO).

You're about creativity, not logistics, and Why Struggle Records can hold your hand through this entire process. The label can help you register, collect and monetise your music correctly, so you are not leaving money uncollected out there, or in "the black box", as many industry professionals call it.

The label can sit down with you on a video call and help you:

• upload your music to a distributor;
• register with your PRO;
• and with everything in between.

The label can also manage your content as an artist or band on your chosen social media accounts and platforms, saving your time and energy for what we all love: the music.

Prices

• Prices start at a base rate of £100. Anything above this can be fully tailored to your needs and budget.
• You also get a free two-hour first call with Bradley to work out what you need from the service. No strings attached.

Digital downloads and guides

As well as mentoring and artist support, Why Struggle Records offers digital guides and downloads on common music industry topics, such as release planning. These include step-by-step guides that take you from getting your finished music ready for release, right through to seeing results from your hard work.

Guides will be sold at a base rate of £5. Some may be offered for free during promotional campaigns and at certain times of year, such as Black Friday.
